Holiday Gift Buying Guide: Excellent Electric Scooters for Christmas 2024

Christmas is when you get to enjoy quality time with your family. However, before you can do that you need to get them the right gift. The problem is, it’s getting increasingly difficult to find someone the perfect gift. We live in a world that demands instant gratification; that often makes it difficult to know what to get someone.

Fortunately, there is an answer: the electric scooter.

Why An Electric Scooter

It’s becoming increasingly apparent that climate change is real and everyone needs to do their part to save the environment. That’s one of the predominant reasons why many people are choosing electric scooters.

Other reasons include:

●     Cheaper to run than a conventional car

●     No license necessary

●     They’re fun

●     E-Scooters often reduce journey times, especially in congested cities

Excellent Electric Scooters For Christmas 2024

As the e-scooter continues to grow in popularity you’ll find there are an increasing number of options. You don’t have to spend a fortune to get the best electric scooters. You just need to know which the best are:

The HX X9 – The Perfect All-Rounder

This electric scooter can be had for under $1,000 and has an optional detachable seat. You don’t have to stand all the time!

The X9 comes with an impressive 560Wh motor which gives you an impressive 70 km of range.

It’s also capable of traveling at 25 km/h on the road, (that’s the legal limit), and an impressive 40 km/h off-road. It’s available in orange or black and has a net weight of just 19 kg.

Naturally, it’s foldable to ensure you can carry it anywhere.

Segway Ninebot ES2

The Segway is a nice electric scooter but it is more expensive than the X9. That means it’s not for everyone.

This e-scooter is foldable and also has a top speed of 25 km/h. The LED display which allows you to track battery usage and range is a nice touch. It also has three speed settings and cruise control.

However, it is powered by a 350Wh motor and only has a range of 40 km.

Pure Advance

The Advance adopts a different approach in that it has supports for both feet allowing you to have a true front-facing ride.

It uses a 500 Wh motor and gives a range of up to 50 km. Interestingly, despite being wider when ridden, when folded it’s slimmer than most e-scooters. It has a net weight of 16.2 kg making it very portable.

Unfortunately, the basic Advance sells for $1,299 and the top end version is close to $2,000.

Summing Up

Investing in an electric scooter is a great idea. It’s a useful and fun means of transport for social occasions, college, and even the commute. Just remember that price isn’t everything. While there are several great e-scooters around, there’s a good reason why the HX X9 tops our list. It’s well-made, powerful, reliable, and does most things better than the competition. Alongside that, it’s the cheapest of our favourites.
